Position Purpose:  

The eCommerce Onboarding Specialist is responsible for driving best-in-class product presentation experiences for key suppliers of The Home Depot. The associate will work closely with the brand supplier and internal teams to analyze, onboard, and optimize digital assets including photography, copy, video and rich content to complete onboarding projects. Following optimization, the eCommerce Onboarding Specialist is responsible for analyzing the impacts of digital content and presenting results with suppliers. 
This position blends analytical, project management, execution and presentation skills to ensure product presentation qualities are exceeded and that target metrics are met. The eCommerce Onboarding Specialist champions the customer experience for specific suppliers of The Home Depot by delivering against the established and agreed upon product enhancement plan.


  • Process and prioritize supplier article onboarding projects, collaborating with offshore data onboarding teams to execute assignments. 
  • Manage and cultivate relationship with suppliers; gaining their trust and being their primary point of contact for issues pertaining to online SKU presentation.
  • Track, measure, and report on online content performance on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis leveraging knowledge gained into actionable results. 
  • Collaborate with supplier and merchants to determine digital content priorities and understand business goals. 
  • Manage online product assortment for items within your set portfolio, troubleshooting and resolving data discrepancies that may arise.
  • The position reports to the Supervisor, Data Onboarding and Special Projects and has no direct reports 
  • Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates)
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio 
  • Technical aptitude and agility to learn database systems and web-based tools 
  • Proven record of having launched, revitalized, and differentiated brands online
  • Proven record of having worked with major consumer brands and knowing how to support/differentiate them in the digital space.
